The thing they do have to pay with is they're personal lives. They might as well get used to airing they're dirty laundry. | Scooter, before I begin I just want to say we (you and I) respect each others opinions so ...... David Letterman's private life is just that - private. He didn't get married until earlier this year. Yes, he had a live in girlfriend. Yes, they had a baby. And, yes, they got married. All of the indiscretions occurred before he got married. Why should we care? As long as no one's job was threatened if they didn't "put out" then why should we care? He is a late night talk show host. His job is to get people to watch his show, roast whoever is dubbed "it" for the week, and hopefully, make people laugh. As long as his conduct was consensual (between he and whoever), and as long as he wasn't holding someone's job over their heads, then what did he do wrong? I am not going at this from a religious stand point. What laws did Letterman violate? I think the guy who thought he was going to blackmail Letterman feels like a dope right now. Did he seriously think he was going to "get" money from David Letterman? How did he think Letterman got to where he is today? Letterman is a shrewd businessman. Always has been..........
