| Why do soccer players think the sport is the best in the world? For one the sport is no contact sport; if you run into someone too hard you get a penalty (or card as it is termed) then the rest of the game is kicking the ball up and down the field for 80+ boring minutes. | I fought with someone today because of road rage? could i be fined? I was at a 7/11 quickie mart in Los Angeles. I had to drive through an alley way to get on to the main street. I drive a large 15" lifted truck. As I was driving through the alley way, there was a 2004 Toyota Camry parked literally in the middle of the alley way. As I was driving slowly to make sure I didn't scrape my truck on a wall or hit the camry parked inthe middle of the alley. The Mother F**Ker had the nerve to yell out "Learn how to drive you fa*got." I was with my girlfriend, she saw him directly say that and said to just drive away. I put my foot on the break. Parked. And got out of my truck and said "Excuse me? What did you say?"... He obviously didnt say anything. I said "Hey, I was driving slow to make sure I didnt scrape my truck on your little car parked in the middle of the damn alley." He said get back in your car. | What do i do if my lead singer is the drummer? Well I have a band... We've played live in some festivals and stuff... But I have a problem... We kinda play songs from The Doors to ******* Lamb of God and Iron Maiden... We're: Lead Guitar (Me) Rythm Guitar Keyboard Bass Drummer (The best singer n drummer) Well the drummer lead singer can't do both things "outstanding" at the same time... So well must of the time he plays and sings just fine.... But some songs like "Given up" by Linkin Park just don't seem to be possible playing drums and screaming He's an amazing grunge-deathmetal-satanic-portal-opener lead singer And one of the best drummers too.... But He can't do both, and most of the band members know nothing about singing and can barely do backing vocals on the chorus. I can handle songs as lead singer and get some amateur screams but my guitar kinda drives the band so i need to be there... me and the drummer can't leave our spots but from all the band members in here someone needs to sing and you know in live performances to get better energy and stuff i think people like better a singer with a mic on the hand jumping around and interacting... Than a guitar dude standing there like a statue singing or a singer that you can't see because the drum set hides him... So what do i do here? |

Focus on the sound and the quality of the songs. It doesn't matter what it looks like if it rocks. |
| Ok So... Chord Theory? Okay, so I'm an amateur Bassist, and I've been playing for about a year. Now, I'm fine with Change-ups, and walks, and all that Jazz, But I've always been a big Metal Head, and since listening to Anesthesia and Orion by Cliff Burton, I've found that Arpeggiated Chords sound ******* amazing on a decent bass guitar. The issue? Besides forming Basic Triads along the 1st 3rd and 5th notes of any given scale, and of course, power chords, which everyone knows aren't actually chords, I have no clue how to make chords, nor do I have any Idea of how to set up epic chord progressions. I've been learning different Modes, but even so, Progressions escape me, because I guess I just don't know what I should be arpeggiating in that manner, or what a suspended or diminished or augmented chord is. I look at stuff I find and just go "Okay, what is that, and what does that have to do with playing notes?" Anyway I'm looking for good sites that can teach me what I want to know, preferably without a load of useless BS in between, that's to the point, and one that doesn't make me pay for instruction. Also, if possible, something without sheet music, or a site where it's optional would be nice. Is there anything out there, or am I just SOL. P.S. I do have Two six strings, and if necessary, I can learn theory via those, if necessary. I'd just prefer to learn on bass, as it's my instrument of choice. Anyway, any help/links would be awesome. |
